In the summer of 2019 I taught art at the Marpha Foundation, Rosehips Kindergarten in Marpha, Nepal. The attached document contains descriptions of the activities conducted in my classes, and how to re-create them.
The photo to the left shows my favorite project with the kids which was the creation of a pair of wings. We then took turns using to fly around the rooftop/courtyard with them.. The wings were made colaboratively across three classes ages 2-5. The students made the wings by painting the cardboard form, coloring feathers and adhering them, and making pressed homemade paper feathers for the edges. The project was a great success, and a fun way to make small class crafts have a big impact.
